The R723 has two brush heads, cord storage in the base, a sensitive setting, and a travel case. The R710 is being sent by Sonicare for warranty replacement even though it is not as good as the defective item it is supposed to replace. They will not honor the warranty and ship a comparable item.

I have been using this product for about 6 years and I have not had any dental issues. The dentist always comments on how clean my teeth are. I just purchased this Sonicare R710 as a replacement.

I have owned this toothbrush for nearly a year with no problems. The nice thing about the lithium battery is you can leave the toothbrush on the charger after each use, similar to a landline telephone. However, I only put the toothbrush on the charger when the battery light flashes, indicating the battery level is below 50 percent. The battery light will flash yellow if it is below 5 (or 10) percent. There is no need to drain the battery before recharging; it can be recharged at any time.
There has been no problems with the brush heads. After each use, I remove the brush head to wash the inside and outside. The brush head has never accidentally popped out of the handle. The only thing I do not like is the shape of the bristles. I would have preferred flatter contour.
I use to own an inexpensive Oral-B toothbrush with a round brush head. I cannot tell which does a better job of brushing. As long as you brush daily, any toothbrush will do the job. I replaced my 6-years-old Oral-B toothbrush with the Sonicare because of the lithium-ion battery and longer battery life.

This electric toothbrush is slender, is easy to handle and most of all is easy to keep clean. It does a remarkable job of whitening the teeth. I’ve had the other Sonicare electric toothbrush for several years. This Sonicare R710 is the greatest so far.

This is my second Sonicare toothbrush (I forget the other model… about 2 years old). My switch to the last one made a major difference in reversing some gum shrinkage, so I’m a fan for life. This one is slimmer, very easy to use, works great. No idea where the earlier comment about the head coming of came from… seems very sold to me.
