  1. I love my new Sonic toothbrush. It was bought to replace an older Sonic that finally quit. I had to go several days with a regular toothbrush before my new toothbrush arrived. It felt like forever. I couldn’t wait to get my new one and really feel like I had a clean mouth and teeth. It’s great!

  2. I’ve been using Sonicare for ages, this is my third.

This is definitely worth the money, my dentist visits are always quick and never much plaque.

Perfect purchase for someone who wants to keep their teeth.

  3. i’ve LOVED every generation of sonicare, and i’ve had them all. when the new flexcare came in, i was ecstatic. it seemed to correct all of the things that bugged me about the previous generations.

HOWEVER, here i sit with yet another broken handle, my FOURTH replacement in a year, and my warranty has expired. i received this fourth replacement one month ago, so presumably it’s from the latest run manufactured. sonicare refuses to extend my warranty even though the customer service reps admit that they had recurring manufacturing defects with this generation.

    out of my five flexcares:

    - three suffered from a broken shaft where you could still hear the unit buzz, but the shaft/toothbrush itself no longer vibrate.

    - two suffered from a defective battery where the unit would never achieve full charge and would need to be recharged after just a day of use, even from new.

i don’t abuse the toothbrushes or use them for anything weird. i’ve used the previous generations until i literally got bored and bought a newer generation or the rubber on/off button was so old it cracked.

PLEASE don’t buy a flexcare until sonicare fixes this generation and takes responsibility for its poorly designed/manufactured products by offering a refund and/or extended warranty!!!

  4. For dental cleaning without fuss

    Buy this handy FlexCare +

Brush 2 minutes, twice a day

To keep those pesky germs at bay

It’ll take no longer than the time

It took to write this little rhyme

So, make yourself a pledge this year

To brush your teeth with Sonicare

Philips has for some time established itself as the leader in toothbrush technology, to the extent that dentists recommend it by name.

This brush is no exception, with all the standard features of other models, but in a sleek new design that cuts down on some of the flashy lights, but not on the features.

    Pros:

    1. 5 brushing modes – clean, gum care, refresh, sensitive and massage.

    2. Easy start feature for newbies to gradually introduce the Sonicare experience (can be deactivated if not needed)

    3. Quadpacer timer to alert you when it’s time to change from top teeth to bottom teeth, and from inside to outside areas.

    4. Helpful little details like color-coded rings for multiple users, cord wraps to eliminate cord snarls, travel charger and travel case, 2 sizes of brushing head and an intelligible instruction manual.

    5. UV sanitizer for cleaning your brush head(s) that’s also easy for you to clean.

    Cons:

    1. It costs quite a bit more than a regular toothbrush (but it’s worth it).

    2. It’s kinda noisy (but you get used to it)

    3. You can only set the brushing mode before you start to brush, so no changing your mind in mid-brush (no biggie)

    4. Everyone in your family will want one

For excellent tooth care, you just can’t beat Sonicare.

  5. I’ve had the last version of this Sonicare FlexCare for 2 years now. This was my first experience using an electric toothbrush, so I did not know what to expect.

This one has a Gum Care mode, which previously with the electric toothbrush I’ve had is Max Care, which is 2 minutes of Clean, and 1 minute of Massage, so the options are changed alittle by name. The layout of your options is alittle different too.

I prefer this new one. They are all in line. I love the idea of having different options. Most times I use just the Clean Mode, and sometimes I will run it twice.

I like knowing I have brushed my teeth the recommended amount of time. It is alot less strain on your hand and arm using an electric toothbrush too.

The first time I used it, I ran the Sensitive mode, just to see how hard it would be on my teeth,or how hard it would be to get used to. The first few times I used it, it did kind of tickle, but it takes very little time to adjust to using this. In fact, I look forward to using it!

The most dramatic thing happened tho. I had this dark spot on one of my upper teeth,in the upper right hand corner, near the gum line. Soon after using the Sonicare Flexcare electric toothbrush the spot disappeared.

I was always self conscious about the spot, so this certainly has made me feel more confident when I smile. I think your smile is one of the first things, if not the first thing people will notice when they look at you, so to have that added confidence is very important.

I do change the brush heads every 3 months like they recommend. They are alittle pricey, but I do notice the difference when Iam using a new brush head, or closer to when I first have changed it, to when it’s closer to the 3 month change.

To me, it’s worth the expense of replacing the brush heads, because what would be the point of using this electric toothbrush, if Iam not going to use it correctly?

For me, this Sonicare Flexcare electric toothbrush has made my teeth alot whiter, given my smile confidence, which in turn has given me confidence. I can’t afford dental insurance, so to me, this Sonicare Flexcare electric toothbrush is my dental insurance.

I know I will never go back to using a manual toothbrush again! You think a manual toothbrush is doing a good job of cleaning your teeth, but it takes using this Sonicare Flexcare electric toothbrush to see that it wasn’t. I know I never had such dramatic results ever using a manual toothbrush.

I just leave my unit plugged in, so that I know it’s always read to go. Everytime I use my toothbrush, after I have cleaned my teeth, I take the brushhead off, rinse it, then I put it into the small area where the UV Sanitizer is, press that button, which turns on the blue light to sanitize the brush head. I just leave it in there til the next time I brush my teeth. That way, I always know my brush head has been sanitized. I love having the UV Sanitizer. Who wants a germy brush head, that will then go into your mouth to clean your teeth?

The unit comes with stickers to remind you to change your brush head, but I just put in in my planner every 3 months, to remind me to change my brush head. When Iam on my last brush head, I order or buy new ones.

I think this Sonicare Flexcare electric toothbrush is well worth the price. My dad who recently turned 82, just had all his teeth pulled in May, 2009, to get dentures.

After hearing about his ordeal, and seeing his difficulty in eating with dentures, I know I want to keep my teeth as healthy as possible, to possibly avert having to go through the same thing. I want to keep my own teeth as long as possible.

I definitely do not want to have to go through what he went through!!
