Desert Essence Natural Tea Tree Oil Toothpaste with Baking Soda and Essential Oil of Mint – 7 oz
Tags: Essence, Tree, Natural

You should know, studies have shown that tea tree oil toothpaste does NOTHING for killing the germs that cause plaque. It does, however, help a bit with gingivitus. So again, we have a “cure all” product being used to treat things it does absolutely nothing for, riding on the strength of it’s known usefullness in other areas. Companies have a very long and dreadfull history of doing this with many substances. Look up the studies on tea tree oils effectiveness as a toothpaste. And research….before you buy.

It seems to leave my teeth feeling cleaner than the ‘corporate’ toothpastes I was using before.
It tastes just fine, and I am getting curious about the ginger flavor they offer, too.
Also, being made in the USA is definitely a plus, and Desert Essence seems to be a private company, ie, not owned by a huge corp, 2 issues which are very important to me lately.
Thumbs up.

A great fluoride free toothpaste. My favorite is the Wintergreen flavor, i’ve tried the Fennel flavor and I did not like the taste of brushing my teeth with black licorice. I also like the consistency of this toothpaste, unlike some of the other natural toothpastes that can be goopy and messy.

I haven’t found any natural non-flouride toothpaste I would rather use, or one that is significantly cheaper.

My sister swears by this toothpaste, so I tried it too. Wonderful! Lots of protection for your teeth & gums
