1. These do whiten your teeth, but it’s not like a night and day difference. More like an 11am and noon difference. I agree with the reviewer who mentioned that they tend to slide around and get gooey. This is not pleasant. There’s also the problem of getting a phone call while you have these in. Good luck talking without sounding like your drunk. That said, they do whiten your teeth, so might be worth a try.

2. When I was offered the chance to try Crest’s 3D whitestrips, I jumped at it. 10 days later, I feel this product does indeed work. Did it make my teeth shocking white? No, but it did remove stains and make them look better than they had before I started.

   The Good: Being a big tea drinker, I deal with stained teeth. After using this product I’d say the whitestrips did manage to whiten my teeth and give them the appearance that I’d just returned from the dentist. There really wasn’t much to the strips: you place one strip on your bottom teeth, the other on the top and then you go on with your life and remove the strips 30 minutes later.

   The Bad: I’d say the strips work but with certain stipulations. The strips are a bit flimsy; if you don’t get them on your teeth correctly during the first application, you’re going to struggle to correct the issue later on. The strips are designed to cover the front and back of your teeth but after close examination I’d definitely say the front of the teeth were better whitened than the back. I also saw that the strips are designed to cover your most visible teeth; meaning the bottom strip is shorter and doesn’t cover all of your teeth while the top strip is longer but still doesn’t hit your back teeth. Applying the strip to get it to fit nicely over all of the teeth was a bit hard; there were only two or three days that I managed to get the strips to properly fit over my teeth without part of the strip scrunching together.

   In all, a good quick whitening solution that does work, though it doesn’t give you the shocking-white teeth treatment as seen in commercials and promotions. Still a good product worth trying.

3. I am a coffee drinker and my teeth have stains even though I go to dental hygienist for cleaning three times a year. Toothpastes don’t work to get rid of the stains unless you brush your teeth right after drinking coffee. The 3D White Whitestrips are convenient and EZ to use and offers alternative ways to keep your teeth white and shiny. They come in separate foil pouches; each pouch contains 1 upper and 1 lower strip. The upper strip is the larger of the two. They stick to your teeth, enamel safe and doesn’t cause any gum irritation.

4. As far as I can tell the gel on these is exactly the same as on the Classic strips. Classic Whitestrips-Crest Dental Whitening System, 56 Strips I have used both. The Classic costs just a couple of dollars more, but gives you 56 strips (28 upper, 28 lower). The “Vivid” only gives you 20 strips (10 upper, 10 lower).

   The instructions say the “Classic” are twice a day for 14 days – 30 minutes at a time

   The instructions say the “Vivid” are once a day for 10 days – 30 minutes at a time

   Once again, I cannot find any difference between the actual gel on these strips.

   Also, the “Classic” puts each upper and each lower in a separate pouch. The “Vivid” puts them together in one pouch.

   So, in conclusion, it seems to me that the “Classic” gives you more than twice as much product for just a couple of dollars more. In fact, the prices for these products are all over the place, so there are even places where you will find the “Vivid” for more than the “Classic”

5. Before Whitestrips I tried expensive and messy dental trays, and Britesmile instant whitening. Here are my conclusions -

   Britesmile (or the equivalent instant whitening processes) are fast and very effective, but expensive, and you are slightly uncomfortable for a day.

   Dental trays, while less expensive than the instant methods, are also pricey, messy, and very uncomfortable.

   Whitestrips are a bargain in comparison, and I found them to be slightly less effective than the instant treatment, and just as effective as the trays. The key to effectiveness is to use them consistently as recommended. This is a good product.
